Fundamentals of Programming CPCS 206 

Course Description

In this course, students will learn how to use NetBeans to develop Java applications. The course introduces some problem-solving techniques to allow students write simple java programs. Students will learn how to write simple java statements such as printing statements, selection statements, and loops.

To review Program Design and Problem-Solving Techniques

F  To describe the relationship between Java and the World Wide Web .

 F  To understand the meaning of Java language specification, API, JDK, and IDE  .

F  To write a simple Java program.

F  To display output on the console .

F  To explain the basic syntax of a Java program .

F  To create, compile, and run Java programs .

F  To use sound Java programming style and document programs properly .

F  To explain the differences between syntax errors, runtime errors, and logic  errors .

F  To develop Java programs using NetBeans .
